A person undermines me as the leader. What can I do?

Two strategies. Strategy number one is ignore, which will lead to a long-term bad relationship and as well for you doubting yourself, even if you ignore it. It's always there.

Number two face the challenge for yourself. Very, very important one-on-one. Have a conversation with this person and than reflect your feelings. I feel this, I understand this. It's not about, Hey, you do this, this, this. You do, do, do. If you focus on pushing the person, the person will always push back.

Open up a conversation where you're not going into a confrontation mode. But try to put things on the table that you don't feel well with this situation and you want to change this and that you want to find a solution for this issue. And maybe it's completely just your perception that this other person undermines you. Or the other person wanted to be in your shoes, the other person is not well.

There's thousands of reasons why a person is undermining another person.

Not everything comes from, I want to do something bad to you. Sometimes it's just people are reflecting things they have in their personal life to other people, and that's the way how they express themselves.
