How do we show value to the executives?

First and foremost, you need to translate what you do into a language that the executives understand.

When I worked in IKEA, the furniture company in a store. We looked into energy savings of a store. We translated the energy savings into Sofas sold. Into a language that the core business of the organization understood.

This is the same when you talk to executives. Because executives see the organization from a different perspective. Depending where they come from and what their background is, they maybe focus a lot on processes or on finance.

Whatever you do, even if you work in a hidden part of the organization, you need to approach them in a way that they understand what you are talking about.

Focus on what is in it for the company, not for the individual goals.
